The GMHC Morning Party 1995-1997

Created in 1983 as a community answer to the growing AIDS crisis the GMHC Morning Party grew throughout the 1990’s.

1995.

Susan Morabito

(seen here with fellow DJs Michael Fierman & Buc) would take on the role of DJ. Making her the first woman to do so. The party grew and grew as it became part of the circuit…

Tee shirts

were always a part of the merchandising of the party.

1996

The GMHC Morning Party had joined the ranks of the Circuit Party. Circuit parties were huge parties held all over the world where men would travel to as part of a tribe to celebrate the music in imaginative ways.

DJ Warren Gluck took the reigns as DJ this time out.

House shares would dress in themes.

Flagging and fan dancing became a fixture at Circuit parties.

1997

Things just kept getting bigger…

The costumes were theme worthy!

Flagging was center stage.

DJ Billy Carroll

took all on this space ride…

Artist John Laub again captures a moment in history with his art as somene captures him on film.

The party had changed in it’s evolution, and that would all come to a conclusion in the next year at Sweet 16…
