Colleen Rose Dewhurst was a Canadian-American actress mostly known for theatre roles. She was a renowned interpreter of the works of Eugene O'Neill on the stage, and her career also encompassed film, early dramas on live television, and Joseph Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival.
Actress Colleen Dewhurst
was a frequent visitor to the Pines. She loved the freedom in which she could move without being bothered. In 1982 she was involved in the community Fashion show benefit “Nightlights” for the Pines Conservation Society.
She was one of the commentators along with singer Lorna Luft and TV /Movie critic Stewart Klein.
She was back visiting her son actor Cambell Scott in 1989 when the movie “Longtime Companion” was filmed here.
