Fashion of the Pines 2000’s

2001

Fashion has always been part of the Fire Island Pines history. First, because we became a mecca for many of them including Geffrey Beene, Donna Karan, Perry Ellis, and of course Calvin Klein. So it was a natural for us to have a fashion show for a community charity and get them involved…

Beginning in 1965

with local stores like “The Three B’s, and Botel Boutique it grew.

Having the last show in 1993 times had changed as well as the community, however in 2001 it was brought back for another round with community members like Robin Byrd, Realtors Doreen Katen, and Bob Howard…

Sybil Bruncheon would MC the event.

Ron Perkov and William Hayden hosted Cynthia.

Again it fell by the wayside until it came back in 2010 to one of the local store called “Gostoso.”

Owned by Jean Manuel and Peter Brundige it catered to the chic of the Pines.

In 2022 it has been revived as a collaboration of DENIZEN store and FIPAP …
